Winter Newsletter

I hope I am finding you all well and ready for your holidays. Here at ATTQS, we have been busy trying to fit in all the things we have on our to-do list. The shop has been moved around and we like all the changes very much. There is so much more room to move around and customers are really liking it.

The new classroom is coming along. We are having regular classes and will continue to move things around and tweak it until it’s just right for all of us. We are looking forward to hosting more events and classes. My husband has been very patient and willing to do and build projects we ask of him.

The Leaf Peepers Shop Hop was really fun and The Snowflake Trail and

Quilters Open House brought many of you out and to all of you buying Take-A- Chance tickets you helped us raise 1475.00 for the food pantry at St. Mathew’s

Church. Thank you all for the continued support.

In addition to our ongoing regular classes we also have many new classes being planned. Bobbie is going to teach beginning Rug Hooking on the 8th of February and again on March 8th. She also will be doing an “Open Hook”, to have a little help or share what you are working on. Jan. 25, Feb. 22, and March 22. Yes, these are Tuesdays! Time and price to be announced. Stand Up Wool chair pad, Collage Wallhanging and Tuffet classes are now being scheduled. I plan to do a One Block Wonder class and we have a small retreat planned as well. The Maine State Shop Hop will be here before we know it and hopefully will bring spring along as well.

We now have more space on Wednesday, Thursday, and a couple of spots on Friday. Come and join us. These are open sew, bring your project, or we may as a group decide to do a project. The hours for these days are 10 to 2 or 3, $10.00 for the day.

It is time to start our UFO list for this year. What is this? You will list 12 projects that you have started and want to finish this year, and once a month we draw a number and you will work on that project. This has been lots of fun, and we even get things finished!

Several special days coming up, Quilts of Valor day, February 5th. 10-2. We will, once again, be doing our Sleep in Your Own Bed retreat in February. What is this? Come sew all day for three days from 9 to 5, leave everything, go home to sleep, and come back the next day and do it all again. Fun with friends, etc.

Please be sure to check out the website for a current list of classes and you will be able to download it and print it off. Of course, another year means I have had another trip around the sun soooooooo, there will be a BIRTHDAY SALE this weekend - FRIDAY, SATURDAY, and SUNDAY, January 21, 22, 23.

The last 2 years have been challenging. We are grateful to still be here sharing what we love with all of you. We certainly appreciate all of your support and enthusiasm as we undertake our new classroom and our revamped retail space. We welcome you to come to visit both, and spring will come as it always does!

Thanks for all of you and all you do for us.

~ Annie & Janet
